WHAT HAPPENED?
Pulisic was a revelation amid a poor season for Milan. Deployed as a right-winger by out of favour coach Pioli, the Chelsea loanee enjoyed his most prolific club season to date – trailing only veteran striker Olivier Giroud with 12 Serie A goals in the campaign.

WHAT YUNUS MUSAH SAID
Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Musah, Pulisic's Milan and USMNT teammate, acknowledged the winger's improvement: "He's grown so much playing on the right wing, been so effective this season, scored so many goals and assisted and he's been the best attacker in our team. The manager has given them confidence. He had faith in him, and it was a mutual thing. And the confidence that the manager gave him reflected in the field."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Pulisic will be expected to do the same for the USMNT this summer. The attacking midfielder figures to be a key part of manager Gregg Berhalter's setup – with Musah in a deeper role – as the hosts look to make a run on home soil in the Copa America.

WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC AND MUSAH
The two will likely both be in action for the USMNT as they take on Colombia this Saturday in the first of two high profile Copa America warmup fixtures. The duo of games would seem to be an ideal measuring stick for Berhalter's side ahead of what could be a pivotal summer in his tenure.
